SALARY:*Not-Ordinarily Resident: $39,994 p.a. (Starting Salary based on 40 hours)
(Position Grade: FP-07 following confirmation by Washington)
*Ordinarily Resident: Gross Salary135,793 DH p.a. (Starting Salary based on 40 hours including allowances, competitive bonus and benefits package. U.S. Mission will withhold from your gross salary employee's portion of the CNSS and CIMR contributions, health/life/disability insurance contributions as well as all tax obligations as imposed by the US and/or host country governments)

The U.S. Embassy in Rabat is seeking an individual for the Administrative Assistant position to work for the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO).
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The Administrative Assistant furnishes a wide range of administrative assistance to the OBO Project
Director and other OBO management staff for the New Embassy Compound (NEC) project in Morocco. The incumbent is responsible for administrative management of OBO's resources and activities, including but not limited to financial, procurement and supplies, computer network, shipping and travel, personnel, maintenance management for residential and official furnishings and office administration and management.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
Education: University degree in accounting, business administration, or other closely related field is required.
Experience: Minimum of five years of office management work. At least one out if five years must be directly related specialized construction office experience.
Language: Level 4 (Fluency) in English, French, and Arabic is required.
Knowledge:
A thorough knowledge of office management functions, service, procedures and standard information sources is required.
Good working knowledge of computer systems, LAN administration, and programs used to support secretarial and cost control functions like Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc) is required.
Skills and Abilities:
The ability to manage staff with tact in office situations and meet and greet visitors is required.
Ability to type more than 40 words per minute is required.
Ability to file, research, and find supporting data from a variety of sources is required.
--Incumbent must be skilled in managing an office budget.
SELECTION PROCESS
When equally qualified, US Citizen EFMs and US Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate address the required qualifications above in the application.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
Current Ordinarily Resident employees must serve in the same position for a period of 52 weeks before being eligible to apply for advertised positions.
